Visited my sister, her boyfriend and their puppy in Victoria. Sampled some cider at the Sea Side Cidery, it was excellent! Stop by and pick some up when your in the neighbourhood.
The Idea
Take my '09 KLR650 down through Mexico and get as far south through Central America as possible.

Tools
I will try and document the tools I am going to take. All the motorcycle tools will be mostly a in 4" PVC pipe with screw ends mounted on the front bottom of the frame.
- Tyre irons, 3 KTM brand large tyre irons
- Pump, my mountain bike pump and a hand full of CO2 cartridges (I don't mind pumping by hand but they are nice to have)
- Tyre patches (the sticker kind) and some glue just in case
- Sockets (8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 17mm, 19mm and 27mm)
- Medium socket driver, a short one and extension
- Socket adapters (medium -> small, medium -> large, and screw driver)
- Wrenches (12mm, 19mm and cresent)
- Screw driver, with the usual heads
- Alan keys (size 6 metric)
- Needle nose pliers
- Electricians tape
- JB weld
- Wire, corse with no insulation, plus two rolls insulated.
- Continuity checker

- Clutch lever
- Breaks (front and back) lever
- Shifter lever
- Clutch and throttle cables.
Camping
- Tent (MSR Hubba Hubba), sleeping matt, sleeping bag
- Stove (MSR Dragonfly burns gasoline and can simmer!), 2 x 1l fuel bottle, pots set, bowl, cutlery

- Assortment of rope (10m 2mm, 16m+8m 5mm)
